Practice

Marsha has practiced family and matrimonial law for two decades. She is also experienced in criminal trial and appellate practice in Federal and State courts, real estate, wills and estates, insurance litigation and personal injury.

Marsha is an assigned member of the Law Guardian Panel for the Appellate Division, a Panel Attorney for the Onondaga County Assigned Counsel Program, Inc., and participates on the Matrimonial, Family Court, and Criminal Court panels. She was previously qualified for capital defense cases.

Marsha was awarded for her distinguished service as a law guardian in the representation of children when she was presented with The Honorable Michael F. Dillon Law Guardian Award, Fourth Department in 1992.

Professional and Community Involvement

Marsha is a member of the CNY Collaborative Family Law Professionals, the Central New York Women’s, New York State and Onondaga County Bar Associations, the New York State Defender’s Association, and the National, New York State, and Syracuse Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

She serves on the Board of Directors for the Onondaga County Bar Foundation, and participates as an Onondaga County Liaison Representative for the Law Guardian Advisory Committee, and as an arbitrator for the Small Claims Division of the Syracuse City Court. Marsha is a past member of the Board of Directors, a member of the Judiciary Committee, and Chair of the Criminal Law Committee for the Onondaga County Bar Association. She has served as co-leader of the Central New York Girl Scout Troop, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Assigned Counsel Program, Inc.; and as coach of the Little League Girls’ Softball for the Town of Dewitt Parks and Recreation.

Marsha has been an Adjunct Professor with Syracuse University’s Psychology Department since 1995 where she teaches Law & Psychology and Forensic Psychology. She is an instructor with University College’s Legal Assistant Program and a volunteer instructor for the Onondaga County Mental Health Association’s Children 1st Program. Marsha frequently presents training seminars on assigned counsel and law guardianship,
