About Greg Monashefsky:
Greg has specialized in the areas of domestic relations and family law since 1989. In addition to this emphasis, his practice includes civil litigation, criminal defense, real estate, wills, estates and trust law. Previously, Greg served as a Deputy County Attorney for the Onondaga County Department of Law in the Family Court Litigation Unit. He has been practicing collaborative family law since its inception in October 2004 and continues to aid in the proliferation of collaborative family law as a viable and integral form of alternative dispute resolution.
Greg was the President of the CNY Collaborative Family Law Professionals from 2008-2009 and served as a member of the Board of Directors for 14 years. As an inaugural member of both the Board and the first class of attorneys certified to practice collaborative family dispute resolution in the Central New York area, Greg feels that collaboration is a pragmatic, private and cost effective means to resolve matrimonial and family law issues.
Greg is a member of the Onondaga County and New York State Bar Association Family Law Sections and Madison County Bar Association. He lectures on behalf of the Onondaga County and New York State Bar Associations in the areas of matrimonial and family law. He has frequently appeared in the local media in order to discuss the topics of matrimonial, family and collaborative family law.
