About Stephanie Kaczor:

Stephanie is a family law attorney based in Syracuse, New York, who brings both courtroom experience and a deep commitment to collaborative solutions. Her professional journey has shown her firsthand the emotional and financial toll that litigation can take on families—insight that now drives her dedication to helping clients navigate divorce and separation through the more respectful, balanced approach of Collaborative Law.

Born and raised in Syracuse and a graduate of Marcellus High School, Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ithaca College and her law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Early in her legal career, she worked at a prominent Buffalo law firm, where she represented healthcare institutions in complex litigation matters. She also served in the District Attorney’s Offices of Erie and Tompkins counties, gaining valuable trial experience.

While she developed strong advocacy skills through litigation, Stephanie came to recognize that court battles often leave families with lasting conflict and little closure. This realization led her to focus her practice on family law with an emphasis on collaborative divorce—a process that allows clients to resolve disputes outside of court through open dialogue, mutual respect, and problem-solving.

As a member of Westfall Law, Stephanie assists clients in matters involving divorce, child custody and support, guardianships, adoptions, and more. She is a proud member of the Collaborative Law Group of Central New York, where she works with other professionals to guide families through transitions with dignity and cooperation. Stephanie is also appointed to the Attorney for the Children panel, where she advocates for children in court, and she serves as co-chair of the Matrimonial and Family Law Section of the Onondaga County Bar Association.

Stephanie is licensed to practice in New York and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Her approach to family law blends the insight gained through litigation with a deep belief in the power of collaboration to create lasting, healthy outcomes for clients and their families.
