About Dan Cantone:
Dan is a Collaborative Practice attorney and Divorce Mediator devoted to out-of-court solutions for families transitioning to living apart. The priorities of his services are working with couples and allied professionals to coordinate and implement choices that serve the long-term needs and interests of spouses and their children. The client-centered focus of Cantone Law Firm, P.C. promotes open-minded, practical, and mutually agreeable decision-making and outcomes.
Dan is a Past President and founding Board member of the Syracuse-area Collaborative organization. He also belongs to the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area, Inc. and is a Practitioner Member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation. Prof. Cantone teaches Family Law Mediation & Collaborative Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Advanced Mediation Skills at the Syracuse University College of Law, a variety of law-related courses for summer high school students attending Syracuse University, and undergraduate multi-disciplinary law classes at SUNY Oswego. Dan also accepts referrals from other Collaborative Professionals for implementation of QDROs and real estate transfers as a joint consultant to settlement teams.
